Agripower France, a leading player in energy transition and integrator of methanation solutions, announces the commissioning of a new collective methanization unit in Chateaubriant, in Loire-Atlantique (44).
Agripower France is an integrator of two types of anaerobic digestion solutions: on the one hand, individual anaerobic digestion products intended for farms of intermediate sizes, and on the other hand collective anaerobic digestion solutions, for communities, groups of farmers or industry (agrifood).
In 2019, work began on a new collective methanization unit, on behalf of a group of farmers, located in Chateaubriant in Loire-Atlantique. This unit, whose performance test was completed on January 31, 2020 with a production higher than initial estimates, has an installed capacity of 250 kWel. This collective installation is the 6rd commissioned by Agripower since the creation of the company in 2012, the first 5 installations still being in service with high energy efficiency performance.
Marker of Agripower's ability to position itself as a technological leader in this booming sector, this new installation, comprising a 25-meter-diameter digester, has the specificity of offering the possibility of incorporating 14 tonnes per year. inputs known to be complex, namely cattle and goat manure, thanks to a specific innovative system. This unit is also equipped with a new generation co-generator with very high electrical efficiency, at 000%. Residual heat is also redistributed in order to heat a livestock building near the unit, allowing full use of the resources offered by methanization.
