Cristel has dual Franco-American nationality. She holds a BA in Economics, a Masters in International Policy Studies from Stanford University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) where she obtained the prize for the best thesis in her field.
Cristel de Rouvray has been Chief Executive Officer of ESI Group since February 1, 2019 and a director since July 8, 1999. After joining the Board of Directors, Cristel became Chairman of the Compensation, Appointments and Governance Committee in 2007. This position allowed him to acquire an in-depth knowledge of the teams and the culture of ESI. From 2015, Cristel became Board Leader to ensure alignment between the Board of Directors and the group's management team.
Her experience bridged the worlds of governance, strategy and operations, and she played a key role in shaping and supporting ESI's talent development and management decisions. It has helped position ESI in its rapidly growing simulation market and connect its leaders to a larger and more innovative ecosystem. His decisive contributions include the recruitment of independent members of the Board of Directors, the creation of links between the Board of Directors and the management team of ESI, and the conduct of a multi-year succession plan.
In addition to her involvement with ESI Group, Cristel has 14 years of experience as a Director at College Track, an American non-profit organization founded by Laurene Powell Jobs. It is recognized for the excellence it demonstrates in helping young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods to obtain their university diploma (more than 3000 to date). She has worked closely with College Track's General Management and Board of Directors on strategy and execution, acting as a catalyst for boosting its growth over the past decade.
