Mathieu Lion, Chairman and CEO, 55 years old, graduated from Paris-Dauphine University, is the founder of the Company in 1994. He completed his professional career, prior to the creation of Mastrad, in the development of concepts for a clientele of restaurants and hotel chains.
After a restaurant management experience in France, he was sales manager for Matfer in the USA (USD10m turnover), where he had significant success with the import of the baking stone concept. Mathieu Lion then worked, still in the United States, for four years for the kitchen equipment companies RYKOFF and IWATANI, as an independent advisor for the definition of all the functions and equipment related to kitchens and service to table for hotel chains.
