NextStage AM, through its Champions program, announces an investment of €10 million in Mondial Piscine, one of the French leaders in the swimming pool market. This minority operation alongside the Morin family will enable the group to accelerate its strong development in France and internationally.
Created in 2002 in Sarthe near Le Mans, Mondial Piscine is a French specialist in the design, manufacture and distribution of turnkey in-ground swimming pools and swimming pool covers. In nearly 20 years, the Morin family has built a group with solid fundamentals, with a strong brand and a significant capacity for innovation. The historical and constant growth is based on a large network of qualified and loyal professional dealers, enabling the group to reach a turnover of more than €50 million in 2021.
The sustained growth of Mondial Piscine is driven by the diversity and depth of its offer at the best value for money in the world of swimming pools. Having chosen 100% French manufacturing, the swimming pools are built using high-quality patented processes, including the design of injection molds and an exclusive system for manufacturing formwork panels, on the Cérans-Foulletourte site. (72).
Mondial Piscine can also rely on a particularly dynamic domestic market. France is the world's second-largest pool market with more than 3 million pools installed in 2021, around half of which are in-ground pools. The health crisis has brought about a strong trend of refocusing consumers on their habitat, resulting in an increased desire to develop their living space and an increased appetite for facilities that promote their well-being.
Holder of numerous patents that make Mondial Piscine a leader in innovation in its sector, the group has also placed energy transition at the heart of its industrial processes. In addition to manufacturing swimming pools entirely made in France, Mondial Piscine uses recycled raw materials and the reuse of scrap materials. Mondial Piscine panels considerably reduce the use of concrete with an equal strength structure. In addition, the manufacture of smaller pools generates a mechanical reduction in water consumption. Finally, the deployment of new, less energy-consuming heating, lighting and filtration systems as well as the use of new types of covers specially designed to limit losses (evaporation, insulation) also contribute to reducing the footprint carbon from installed swimming pools.
The ergonomics and intelligence of the Mondial Piscine panels make it easier to build standard entry-level pools but also to simplify the construction of much more complex projects, mirror or overflow. With the Mondial Piscine concept, in addition to the liner or the reinforced membrane, it is also possible to offer tile waterproofing. A tailor-made and sustainable response to the projects of the most demanding consumers.
The entry into the capital of NextStage AM is intended to support Mondial Piscine in its development, through the strengthening of its network of dealers in France and the pursuit of its expansion in Europe in more than 10 countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece , Belgium, Switzerland, etc. This investment and the resources that NextStage AM will mobilize will enable the group to accentuate its capacity for innovation, strengthen its organization and pursue the development of new products in line with consumer expectations.
“NextStage AM's experience and expertise in terms of support were important in our choice. We are delighted to work with a trusted partner, who understands the challenges of fast-growing medium-sized companies, and are convinced that this new reference shareholder will be able to support us effectively in the next stages of our development.” declares Mickaël Morin, President of the Mondial Piscine group.
“This investment reinforces our commitment to the fund trend of « the economy of emotion« . Mondial Piscine is a group with strong potential, positioned in a market for individual swimming pools which has not yet reached maturity. Innovation, development of the high-end product offer, strengthening of the network of dealers in France and abroad: there are many growth levers for this group, which is carrying out a project in which we strongly believe", added Nicolas de Saint Etienne, Managing Partner at NextStage AM.
As part of this transaction, NextStage AM is investing 10 million euros through its FPCI Championnes III, FPCI Capital Entrepreneur and FCPR Rivement II vehicles.

About Mondial Piscine
With a network of more than 90 partner dealers deployed in France, but also abroad, Mondial Piscine, recognized for its high quality of 100% French construction, designs and manufactures modular in-ground swimming pools "all reinforced concrete" using a process under CSTB Technical Opinion. This unique construction process is one of the strengths of Mondial Piscine since it guarantees installers a quick and simplified implementation for a pool that is unalterable and resistant over time. All swimming pools are developed and produced on the Cérans-Foulletourte site (72), which includes the head office and the production unit of more than 15m². Controlling the entire production chain, the factory designs the injection moulds, manufactures the formwork panels, assembles, stores and then delivers the swimming pools. Each year, more than 000 swimming pools are installed. Mondial Piscine is the only brand in France to offer its dealers' customers a commitment to complete the work.
