Paris, July 15, 2020 - NextStage AM, one of the pioneers and leaders in growth capital in France, announces the appointment of Aloys de Fontaines, Julien Potier and Michaël Strauss-Kahn as Associates of NextStage AM.
These three appointments are part of a context of growth and development for NextStage AM and its holdings. After a particularly rich year in 2019 (more than 13 unlisted investments and reinvestments), the launch of several vehicles (FCPR NextStage R Return II, FPCI NextStage Capital Entrepreneur, integration of PER within NextStage Croissance) the appointments ofAloys de Fontaines, Julien Potier and Michaël Strauss-Kahn will help strengthen the management company's team of talents and meet the significant needs for supporting equity investments in medium-sized, innovative and growth companies selected by NextStage AM.
New Associates Aloys de Fontaines, Julien Potier and Michaël Strauss-Kahn join for this purpose the historical partners of NextStage AM, including: Grégoire Sentilhes, President and founder, Jean-David Haas, CEO and co-founder, Nicolas de Saint-Etienne, Head of the Non-listed activity, and Vincent Bazi , Responsible for the Coté activity.

Biographies:
Aloys de Fontaines:
Aloys joined NextStage AM in June 2008 on the occasion of the deployment of its second institutional vehicle. He has since supported around twenty entrepreneurs in their strategy of development, integration of innovation (SaaS models, platforms, etc.), and external growth with nearly 30 build-up operations carried out. In this context, he was able to develop expertise in the segments of security and its technological challenges, the financial industry and digital savings, as well as real estate and its new uses.
Aloys is a member of the supervisory committee of the Lease Protect group, of Drouot Digital, of Linxea, of the Soléo group, as well as of Coorpacademy.
Previously, Aloys worked at JP Morgan in Paris in Mergers & Acquisitions in the family business segment; as well as at Oddo Securities as a Mid-Cap financial analyst on the TMT sector.
Aloys graduated from EM Lyon.
Julien Potier:
Julien joined NextStage AM in January 2011. He has since supported around twenty entrepreneurs in their strategy of scale-up, in particular through the realization of more than 30 build up, the integration of innovation into their business model or the enrichment of their offer (upsell, branding). He has developed expertise in the SaaS BtoB segments (eg Oodrive) and digital platform models (eg Legal Attestation), tourism / leisure (eg Dream Yacht Charter / Arkose), green growth (eg Greenflex) and innovative industry (eg First STPI). He has also closely supported several international companies in their deployment in around ten countries in Europe, North America and Asia.
Before joining NextStage AM, Julien worked 3½ years at Merrill Lynch in FIG M&A in London. Previously, he worked at EY and then in the financial and strategic direction of the AXA group.
Julien is a former student of EDHEC Lille and graduated from a MScInternational Business of Maastricht Universiteit.
Michaël Strauss-Kahn:
Michaël joined NextStage AM in May 2009. He has since supported around twenty entrepreneurs on various development projects. Whether alongside international platforms (Trace, SteelShedSolutions, etc.), technological experts (Yseop, Kxen, etc.), or champions with disruptive models (Acorus, Cap Cinéma, etc.), he has been able to develop transversal expertise on subjects ranging from the integration of platform / marketplace / SaaS offers, to the implementation of build up, brand, go to market online / offline and team commitment (CSR, liberated company, etc.). He has also carried out several industrial disposals with international players and is particularly fond of subjects cross-border France - USA - Africa.
Before joining NextStage AM, Michaël worked in consulting and finance at Booz Allen Hamilton, then at Calyon Financial in Chicago and finally at Lazard. He is an alumnus of Audencia and the University of Cincinnati.
