NextStage AM is looking for a Small Cap Analyst intern / Private Equity
Description:
Within the Innovation department (Investment in listed and unlisted SMEs), you will join a human-sized team (4 people) and will be required to work on a portfolio made up of listed SMEs (~70% of the portfolio and investment opportunities ) and unlisted (~300% of the portfolio and investment opportunities) French. With more than €150m in assets under management, the investment team supports growth SMEs, mainly in equity or quasi-equity (capital increase, convertible bonds) in carrying out entrepreneurial projects, via investment tickets. investment of €1m to €6m in innovative companies positioned on various themes (Digital, Smart Health, Energy Transition):
Your main missions will be:
- Complete study of investment opportunities: sectorial and financial analysis, understanding of the economic model, financial modeling, drafting of investment notes
- Monitoring of portfolio companies: external growth opportunities, strategic thinking, reporting, valuation sheets, results presentation meetings, newsflow and market information monitoring
- Preparation and participation in meetings with financial intermediaries and teams of entrepreneurs
Qualifications:
You are a student at a Grande Ecole of Commerce or Engineering or a 1st rank University (Dauphine, SciencesPo Paris).
You have already completed a 1st internship in Corporate Finance (M&A, Private Equity) or in portfolio management (listed fund specializing in small / mid or large capitalization equities).
You are :
- Rigorous

You have a :
- In-depth knowledge of French and European financial markets
- Excellent writing skills and autonomy in researching information
- Perfect understanding of the constituent elements of a strategic and financial analysis (market, competition, valuation method, financial forecasts)
- Excellent command of office tools (MS office)
- Fluency in written and spoken English
