Skipper NDT
Founded in 2016 by Maher Kassir and his son Luigi Kassir, Skipper NDT designs and markets a technological solution to collect and analyze data from energy infrastructures (Water, Gas, Oil pipelines, etc.) in order to map these pipelines and their environments. .
The result of 6 years of R&D carried out in collaboration with the CNRS and prestigious universities (Paris Saclay, Centrale Supelec), Skipper has succeeded in creating an innovative and disruptive solution which makes it possible to collect complex environmental data from pipelines such as:
- centimeter-accurate mapping of pipelines;
- pipeline distance measurement (air/ground, air/water, water/ground);
- measurement of mechanical deformation of infrastructures in order to implement effective preventive measures quickly.
Skipper NDT is revolutionizing the buried pipeline mapping segment by leveraging the latest hardware innovations and data processing technologies.
A drone equipped with multiple sensors embeds the electronic card containing the patented software developed by Skipper and maps then analyzes the data for the energy company.

Maher Kassir
Co-Founder and ChairmanA graduate of Harvard, McGill University and Columbia, Maher has more than 25 years of experience in Energy within leading operators.
In addition, Maher founded several companies in the sector such as STOPAQ France in 2009 (pipeline coating) and SPADE in 2018 (real-time detection of mechanical impact on energy pipelines) and Skipper in 2016 with Luigi.
Luigi Kassir
Co-Founder and CEOA graduate of the University of California and INSEAD, Luigi began his career at Bloomberg as a coverage analyst. Subsequently, he was an Associate in the Almeida Capital then Platinium Equity funds in London for 4 years.
He joined the Cargill Group in 2013 to work in the Strategy and Business Development activity in the Middle East and Africa region before co-founding Skipper in 2016 with his father, Maher.
